Volunteers Needed: Martha Jefferson 8K Run & 4K Walk, 7:30am - 9:30am; Duties may include handing out drinks to runners along the course or to help runners navigate near the finish chutes. The race starts at 8am. Contact Bill Hall to sign-up as a volunteer. Volunteers usually get free shirts (not positive yet that that is the case). So if you do volunteer, please provide what size shirt you prefer.

Directions from UVA: take West Main Street to the 9th Street/10th Street Connector Rd (Roosevelt Brown Blvd--Hampton Inn is on the corner), turn right and go to Cherry Avenue, turn right and go 0.4 mile and turn right on Hanover St.  Then turn left immediately and you'll see the Habitat parking area.

26th annual Holiday Party for Persons with Disabilities featuring a visit from "Mr. Magic" of "Freckles and Friends" as well as the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus, 6 pm until 8 pm at Work Source Enterprises.  Members should plan to arrive by 5:45 to help with set up.

Monday, December 21st Board meeting at 5 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge.  Following dinner which begins at 6:30 p.m., there will be a special new member orientation presented by Past Lieutenant Governor and Lieutenant Governor Elect Herb Ely. This program is provided by Kiwanis International and will help you answer the question: "What Does Kiwanis Do?"  Members are encouraged to invite potential new members to this evening of fellowship and fun.
